An unknown male caller "spoofed" his caller ID to display the Rancho Cucamonga Police Station phone number. The caller identified himself as an employee of the police department and provided a false name, badge number, and case number. The caller attempted to scare the victim into believing their identity had been used to commit a crime or that a warrant was out for their arrest. The caller asked the victim to provide additional information to prove their identity or claimed money was needed to be sent to clear the arrest warrant. RANCHO CUCAMONGA POLICE DEPARTMENT2+ weeks agoAgencyDeputies Arrest Rancho Cucamonga Woman for Attempted Murder After She Stabs a 76-year-old Victim DATE/TIME: January 28, 2024, at 6:20 p.m. INCIDENT: Attempted Murder LOCATION: 7600 block of Haven Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga SUSPECT(S): Deborah Esteen-Jordan, 35-year-old female from Rancho Cucamonga VICTIM(S): 76-year-old female from Rancho Cucamonga SUMMARY: On Sunday, January 28, at about 6:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 7600 block of Haven Avenue in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies learned the victim had been stabbed multiple times. Deputies performed preliminary lifesaving measures until emergency medical services arrived on scene. The victim was transported in stable but critical condition to a regional trauma center and is expected to survive. Through investigation, deputies learned a cohabitant, Esteen-Jordan, stabbed the victim with a kitchen knife. Detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff Station responded and assumed the investigation. Esteen-Jordan was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for attempted murder. Two suspects entered Gemma's Jewelers as two other suspects opened and held the door open and smashed display cases with hammers, stealing $200,000.00 in jewelry. The suspects fled the scene in a white Audi SUV. After an extensive five-month investigation, the Rancho Cucamonga Detective Bureau and Multiple Enforcement Team identified and arrested five suspects for PC 211 - Robbery. Additionally, suspects Honore Picquet, Antonie Davis, Keenan Edwards, David Colton, and Kevin Yarbrough are believed to have been involved in other jewelry robberies/smash and grabs in San Bernardino County and surrounding counties. SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY2+ weeks agoAgencyBetween March 2 and March 8, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with deputies from patrol stations, served 12 search warrants and contacted suspects at various locations in Ontario, Yucca Valley, San Bernardino and Desert Hot Springs. During those contacts, investigators contacted gang members and persons prohibited from possessing firearms. As a result, investigators seized approximately three pounds of illegal narcotics and six firearms, including two ghost guns. A total of seven felony arrests were made.
